MY STORY

My journey with horses started when I was 4 years old and ran through the woods to our neighbor who used the woods for grassing for his horses. There were at least 30 horses inn all shapes and colours there. My mom was terrified as she didn't know where I was, until another neighbor told her that she though she saw a child in the flock with horses at the other neighbor, and sure enough there I was. And no matter what my mom or dad said from that point on I wanted to be with horses.

So when I was 5 years old, I got my first pony. A mix between an icelantic and northlantic pony. Her name was Bonita. She tought me tons and gave me so much love, laughter, challenges and experience. Then there came lots of other beautiful souls, as Absalon, Perla, Fresko, Arabella ( we were in the National team for Cross Country ) as a 10 year old girl I got my first arabian stallion. Yes a stallion, only 2 at the time and unbroken and had a temper to him. But he was mine! He kept on biting me and I remember my mom being so mad at him because of it that she told me, one more biting and he will loose his manhood. So I decided enough is enough and it worked. Because I wanted my stallion, his name was Gordon by Nraw ibn Aswan out of a spanish mare named Gossarah.

He was tall and in my eyes gorgeous. We did so much together, like driven in a chart which we both loved but it went too fast at times. We galloped fields that would never end. Later we tried him in Øvrevoll ( race court)  where he won a couple of races but later  he found the audience a lot more exciting. His jockey was fuming because of this, as we all knew he could run  like the wind.

We attended the stallion licensing and there we did so well. Despite having no offspring he was awards 2nd in quality and first for his age group. There we could also see Lancer Sham which was in Norway at the same licensing as us. Gordon had one of the highest achivements in Norwegian licensing. We are proud of that. He was also ridden dressage with Kjersti Vigen as his trainer and show jumping with Ole and Connie Bull.

When I was at my Norwegian national team I rode for the  trainers Pjotr and Fela. Awesome people and wonderful memories. I would write so so much more but I'm not sure it could all fit in here. Its a life time with horses and I have so many wonderful exciting memories from my active riding carrier. Today I mostly enjoy my trails and love to train "difficult horses" that challenges me, to use my brain. I like to call it " cracking the nut"  getting the answer without force and learning my horses history from them. As they do talk to us and try to tell us the reasons why they act the way they do and what is bothering them. No horse is born evil. I wish more people would start out there.

Today we have a beautiful place that is called "Snipen farm" its both me and my husbands life work. We love it here. Close to Finnskogen ( look up its history ) and the Swedish border, a little paradise with our horses, children, cats, birds, dogs and I'm sure I can find more animals somewhere.

We enjoy the peace here and nature, as do our animals.

As a little side note we breed Bichon Havanaise aswell. The most lovable cuddly dogs. We are kennel " #smjpreciouslovebugs
